Making your own butter can save you money and provide you with some of the best tasting butter you have ever had. There is also a certain sense of pride in making good wholesome food for you and your family. Making butter is surprisingly easy. All it takes is a quart of heavy cream, a mixer with a whisk attachment, a strainer, and ten minutes. Let the cream come to room temperature. Mix it on high until you see clumps of butter sticking to the whisk. Strain the mixture and rinse your butter. Press it together with a spatula and put it in the refrigerator. It’s as easy as that.
