This 12-session training prepares you to work with compulsive buyers, either as a primary therapist, a counselor, coach, or as a member of a treatment team. In the course, we carefully follow two or three clients—one of them may be a member of our training group—as they make their way through the evidence-based* program set forth in To Buy or Not to Buy: Why We Overshop and How to Stop. You learn not only to successfully address the symptoms of overbuying, but also how to foster a genuine shift in perspective.

In addition to our primary text, other relevant clinical and theoretical readings will further expand your thinking and your likelihood of success in working with overshopping clients.

To Buy or Not to Buy: Theory and Treatment of Compulsive Buying Disorder, our 4-session audio course**, is a prerequisite to taking the 12-session training.

On successful completion of both courses, I will list you and your contact information on my website as someone whom I’ve trained. Prospective clients will be able to find you there.

Fill out the form below if you would be interested in receiving an email notification when we’re about to start the next group. We always have a free teleseminar for people who want to learn more about the course before signing up.
