Low-cost meals are best put on a debit card, so that you do not end up activating extra credit card charges. When you stay at a hotel, use your credit card. This way, your checking account is not blocked for anticipated expenses. Finally, never use credit cards for big weddings, college tuition, or vices like gambling.
