He realized he had a problem when he always had to have the latest electronic gadgets and bought only name brand products. It really hit home when his car was repossessed, after he ignored payment requests from the creditor. It would take $2,000 to redeem his car, so after selling most of his possessions, he was ready to pick it up, but instead bought an iPad 2. Rivers received help for his problem, and highly recommends that others take this issue seriously.
