Author Matt Madeiro says, “We’ve grown used to idleness.” Between sitting in an office all day and crashing on the sofa in the evening, our lives are very sedentary. Madeiro has come up with some ways to incorporate movement into our lives. He suggests setting a timer to remind you to stretch and walk. You can incorporate body weight exercises such as air squats, pushups or lunges into your everyday routine. Walk to the restroom furthest away and do a few wall pushups while you’re there. Walk around your office while on the phone, or around the block during a short break. Stand vs. sitting whenever possible, and start today!
