We’ve heard of the phrase “addictive personality,” but it seems like there needs to be more research done on the way the brain works to better understand this. Right now we can say that men, women, and now children, who are getting credit cards at a younger age, are affected pretty equally by shopping addiction, though there are different spending trends for each demographic. Some people are bargain-hunters, others get a rush from buying high end objects, but in general, women tend to over-shop while men tend to over-spend.
