Our Story
When I met Dr. April Benson it seemed to be a partnership of two distinct worlds – her psychological expertise and my depth of experience in finances were the perfect combination in a world where Financial Therapy is now recognized. April asked me to buy her business and then supervised me for 18 months to learn her methods and work with her clients.. We lost April shortly after I bought her business and I still miss her.
After working with overshoppers for the last 5 years in private coaching and small groups, I felt ready to update her book. To Buy or Not to Buy was originally published in 2008 – one year after smart phones were first launched, and “likes” and “selfies” were still evolving. Much has changed, and yet the core body of work is still incredibly effective.
May this book serve you well by helping you shift spending to what is really important in your heart, whether it’s to support your family, friends, community, or the world, in more important ways.
Warmly,
Carrie
